Press ReleaseSOURCE: International Aviation Safety AssociationFlight 352: The International Aviation Safety Association Offers AssistanceNEW YORK, July 5 /PRNewswire/ -- The International Aviation Safety Association (``IASA'') today extended its condolences to those bereaved by the July 4 crash of Vladivostokavia Flight 352 at Budyonnovka that killed all 144 passengers and crew. IASA has today spoken to representatives of the State Civil Aviation Authority of Russia and offered to provide whatever assistance it can to those who have lost loved ones in this tragedy. Mrs. Lyn S Romano formed IASA, a non-profit, non-political organization to address a wide variety of aviation safety issues after the death of her husband, Mr. Ray M Romano, in the September 2, 1998 crash of Swissair flight 111 off the coast of Nova Scotia, Canada. IASA was instrumental in the May 10, 2000 declaration by the President's Executive Office that aging wire in aircraft was an ``issue of national concern'' and has campaigned tirelessly in addressing other issues relevant to the safety of commercial air travel. For now though, IASA is focused on the needs of those bereaved by this tragedy and how their experience may be of comfort to those affected by this tragedy. Anyone wanting to contact IASA should either visit their website at http://www.iasa.com.au, send an email to iasa.pr@virgin.net or send a fax to +1-775-854-1260 (United States).
