FliteLink
for Flight Data Acquisition
Management Systems (FDAMS)
FliteLink
for
FDAMS
automatically
downloads
flight
and
aircraft
data,
providing
fast,
efficient,
and
timely
information
to
airline
Flight
Operations.
Using
802.11 (WiFi)
and
cellular/GPRS
networks,
FliteLink
provides
immediate
access
to
flight
data,
thereby
accelerating
FOQA
decision
making.
At the
same
time,
FliteLink
lowers
data
retrieval
operating
costs
when
compared
to ACARS
transmissions
or the
logistics
of
manual
data
retrieval.
FliteLink
is user
configurable,
giving
the
airline
greater
control
of how,
when,
and
where
flight
data is
acquired
and
distributed.
Larger
data
packages
can be
downloaded
faster,
more
frequently,
and more
reliably
than by
direct
downloading
from the
FDAMS or
by
collection
of
magnetic

storage
cards.
And as
an
enhancement
to the
existing
FDAMS
unit,
aircraft
weight
and
space
considerations
are
minimized. |

The Flight Data Acquisition & Management System
(FDAMS) is a multi-function airborne LRU with
DFDAU, ACMS functionality. The DFDAU collects
and sends mandatory aircraft data to the
crash-survivable SSFDR. The ACMS monitors data
from other computers or sensors and records it
internally when certain programmable events
occur. Typical outputs of the ACMS are printed
or downlinked Reports, compressed data
recordings using the internal Smart ACMS
Recorder (SAR) and continuous ARINC 573
formatted recordings to the Digital ACMS
Recorder (DAR).
|
 |
ACMS Benefits:
- Reduced maintenance and warranty support
cost
- Validation of engine warranties
- Improved reliability (early detection of
problems)
- Reduced operating costs
- Operational quality assurance increase
safety and reduce training costs
- Advanced systems troubleshooting
capability
|
ACMS Features:
-
Fully user-programmable reports using
Honeywell visual algorithm definition
for avionics reconfiguration (VADAR)
-
Integrated PCMCIA removable PC-Card that
can be configured to for storage of
reports/QAR/DAR/SAR up to a maximum
available of (2GB)
-
Peripheral Interfaces: Printer; MCDU
(3); ACARS CMU; External QAR; ADL/PDL;
FDR
-
Multiple Methods of Data Download -
PCMCIA, ADL/PDL, HHDLU, ACARS CMU
|
|
Other
product information:
- FDAMS includes an integrated PCMCIA
removable storage device (PC-Card)
-
FDAMS can be programmed to send data to the
user via electronic datalink (see COMM/NAV).
- Since not all users immediately require
the full sophistication of FDAMS
capabilities, airborne and ground software
can be purchased as options, either as part
of the initial delivery or as field-loadable
upgrades.
